Disha Pandey is an Indian film actress and model. She has appearedin films in Tamil, most notably Thamizh Padam,Telugu and Hindi languages.
Early life
Disha Pandey was born in Jaipur and brought up in and NewDelhi. Her father is a gazette officer with the educationdepartment, while her mother is the MD with Hindustan CopperLimited. She has one younger sister and a younger brother. Shewas in class 12 when she entered films but was advised to pursue herdegree before she continued acting. Despite choosing biology withmathematics in class 12, Disha decided to pursue arts to be able tocomplete her degree with ease. She did her BA in Human Rights.
Career
She has done modelling for commercials like Prince Jewellery andAmul Lassi.
She acted in Mayanginen Thayanginen, a Tamil flick opposite NitinSathya and Moksha, a Telugu horror film, directed by SrikanthVemulapalli. In Mayanginen Thayanginen she played the character of avery homely girl -- a customer care executive employed with a calltaxi company. She made her Tollywood debut in RameshRaparthy's film titled Race and was seen in a Hindi film titledSaare Jahaan Se Mehnga which was based on the subject ofinflation. She made her Kannada debut in Jai Lalitha,the Kannada remake of the Malayalam hit Mayamohini. She plays therole that Malayalam actress Mythili played in theoriginal. While the film has not released yet, she has beensigned for two more Kannada films, Bombay Mittati, in which she playsa character interested in travelling and photography, andSubramani directed by JK.
